Allkemie's graphene formulation cuts diesel soot in engine testing

Allkemie’s graphene oxide additive reduced diesel soot by −91.1% in engine testing. Measured as smoke opacity on a FAW diesel engine running ultra-low sulfur diesel at 8 ppm, the reading fell from 17.90% to 1.59%. NOx emissions fell by −33% in the same campaign, from 325 ppm to 218 ppm.

Why soot matters

Soot is more than an emissions number. It is a public-health concern, and in engines that recirculate exhaust it adds wear and downtime. New heavy-duty diesel engines certified from model year 2027 face tighter particulate and NOx limits, so additives with independent verification for both get a hearing.
